Patient Service Rep - Resource Pool

Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative will be the first contact at Mercy clinics within the Primary Care Resource Pool, traveling across OKC metro locations to fill in for vacancies. Responsibilities include front desk operations, greeting patients, identity verification, check-in/out, scheduling, handling phones, Epic chart creation, scanning, RightFax, and basic clerical duties. The role requires maintaining patient confidentiality, adhering to infection control, safety policies, and contributing to smooth clinic operations. Strong communication, data-entry accuracy, and the ability to manage workflow and adapt to changing duties are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: None Required
- One year of applicable medical office experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing
- Excellent customer service skills
- PSRs should be empathetic, patient-focused, and able to handle inquiries and concerns with tact and diplomacy
- Accuracy and attention to detail in entering patient information, scheduling appointments, and processing documentation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy policy/procedure
- Demonstrating discretion and maintaining patient privacy
- Adaptable and able to work effectively under pressure
