Job Summary
Patient Service Rep - Radiology handles patient check-in, registration and scheduling for radiology exams; communicates with patients regarding demographic and financial information, insurance responsibility and payment at registration; collects co-pays and balances; uses departmental information systems (Healthquest, Cerner Powerchart, Radnet) to enter and retrieve data; maintains accurate electronic medical records and supports claims processing and data quality; provides patient and staff support with strong attention to detail and professional communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years related experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology for registration and billing procedures
- Accurate typing and data skills
- Interpersonal and guest relations skills
- Ability to operate office equipment and basic computer systems
