Job Summary
Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards while processing encounter form data and collecting outstanding balances. Receive and record patient information changes, ensure proper diagnosis recording on fee slips, and compile data for billing personnel. Answer telephone calls, route accordingly, and schedule appointments for return visits and end-of-day procedures. Balance work and computer daily, attend required meetings, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with the patient, physician, and care team members. Requires one year in a medical office setting with knowledge of ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding or three years of customer service experience. Full-time, 80-hour pay period.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in medical office setting
- working knowledge of clinic appointment scheduling

- experience in ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding (charge entry)
- minimum three (3) years of total customer facing/customer service experience

- HS diploma or GED
