Job Summary
Maintain established departmental policies, safety standards, and quality assurance programs while collecting and processing encounter form data. Route telephone calls, record patient information changes, and ensure procedures and diagnoses are properly recorded on fee slips for charge entry. Balance work and computer systems at end of day, compile data for billing personnel, and schedule return visits and end-of-day procedures. Collaborate with patients, physicians, and care team members to support overall patient care while participating in required education assignments and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in medical office setting
- Working knowledge of clinic appointment scheduling
- Collection experience
- Experience in ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding (charge entry)
- Minimum three (3) years of total customer facing/customer service experience
Desired Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
