Patient Service Rep I

Greet patients and visitors professionally, directing them to waiting areas and escorting them to exam rooms. Route phone calls via direct transfer, paging, or voicemail, and screen solicitors for relevance. Perform registration functions for new or existing patients, collect copayments, and verify insurance eligibility while communicating benefit limitations. Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-up visits, ensuring accurate documentation of all patient encounters. Collect messages from the answering service and collaborate with clinical staff to support daily administrative workflows. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
