Job Summary
Process all activity related to OSS's patient services, including phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow-up, chart maintenance, and communication with referral sources. Manage high-volume patient scheduling by receiving calls, collecting information for treatment and billing, verifying insurance, faxing paperwork, scanning documents, and building patient charts. Collect patient balances, balance accounts nightly, and print reports. Pull charts for the next day's appointments and make reminder calls. Communicate with staff via email and resolve patient issues with billing and treating teams. Open and sort mail daily. Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings. Perform other daily operational front desk functions as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduation or equivalent
- Three years of experience in an appropriately related position
- Equivalent education/experience
- Proactive medical scheduler
- Experience in effectively resolving scheduling issues
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Full-time employment availability
- 40 hours per week availability
- Monday - Friday work schedule availability
- Work hours availability (7:00 a.m. to 6:20 p.m.)
- Background screening consent
