Job Summary
Patient Service Representative duties include greeting patients professionally, scheduling and verifying appointments, checking patients in/out, updating insurance information, handling calls, processing payments and receipts, routing communications, coordinating with providers on prescriptions, conducting eligibility verifications, and updating patient demographics. The role requires teamwork, strong written and verbal communication, basic math for payments, organizational and time-management skills, familiarity with PHreesia and EHR systems, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and office equipment. The position supports HealthLinc’s PCMH initiatives and involves potential increases in responsibilities across Levels 2 and 3, including posting payments and routine financial intakes. All staff participate in Relias trainings.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in healthcare administrative environment (1-3 years) is preferred
