Job Summary
Coordinate front-desk and administrative activities for an orthopedic practice. Responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, documenting messages, scheduling patient appointments, collecting and processing co-pays and insurance information, verifying benefits, managing cancellation lists, ensuring patient sign-in and referrals, entering new patient data, updating records, and communicating with therapists and billing staff to maintain optimal patient flow. Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, multitasking ability, experience with multi-line phone systems, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency with a billing computer program.
