Job Summary
Coordinate and participate in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation, patient identification, patient check in/out, charge posting, cash management and patient appointment scheduling. Position also involves customer service, message distribution, ancillary scheduling and referrals management. Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patients and completing prep activities, enter pre-visit orders, prepare new patient charts, handle medical records and notes, verify patient information in Maestro Care, collect co-payments and balances, and explain billing according to policies. Requires high school education and at least one year of patient-service experience in a healthcare setting; strong verbal/written communication and familiarity with medical terminology and privacy practices are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and telephone etiquette.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work and maintain patient records and forms.
