Job Summary
Manage staffing and scheduling for assigned areas by creating clinician schedules based on authorizations, patient needs, and availability. Organize active patient schedules by priorities, manage daily logs, and keep field staff availability and the EMR system current. Maintain excellent relationships with clinicians and communicate with nurses and patients to troubleshoot obstacles and provide accurate daily updates. Create efficient nurse routes and submit schedules before day's end to case managers and operations. Rotating weekends and on-call duties are required.
Required Qualifications
- Full time in-office position
- Mon-Fri 9:00AM- 5:30PM schedule
- Frequent overtime
- Rotating weekends
- At least 3 years of experience coordinating patient visits in a home health setting
- Extensive experience in a fast paced environment
- Strong communicator
- Creative problem solver
- Ability to handle obstacles in a calm and controlled manner
- Strong people and negotiation skills
- Comfortable communicating with nurses and patients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience as a patient appointment scheduler, preferably in home health
- Motivated and fast orienting individual
- Professional and responsible approach to work

- Ability to take on-call for coordinating staffing needs, troubleshooting, and guiding the nurses
- Ability to direct and coordinate multiple functions
