Patient Safety Specialist - FT - Days

Plan, organize, and facilitate programs to ensure clinical departments follow Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals and MWHC's patient safety program. Collect clinical data and conduct chart reviews to identify opportunities for improving patient safety outcomes and practice variation. Assist in creating a culture of safety by communicating with nursing, administration, and medical staff leadership to ensure regulatory compliance. Drive improvements by identifying trends using performance data, leading investigations for serious safety events via Root Cause Analysis, and preparing annual reports on error occurrences. Coordinate staff orientation and continuing education programs while managing error/event reporting through a non-punitive system.
