Job Summary
Patient Safety Observer monitors patients for safety, maintains constant visual observation of multiple patients, responds to safety risks based on nurse-driven indications, verbally redirects patients using a digital 2-way audio device in patient rooms, notifies staff with proper etiquette and escalation protocols, verifies patient information in interactions, documents all interactions with patients and clinical staff, and demonstrates proficiency with various technology platforms. Additional duties include reporting changes in patient behavior and escalations using established protocols, notifying the VSO Lead after completing A/V checks or CVM discontinuation, and providing ongoing exception reports to oncoming VSOs. Aligns with company values (Be Authentic, Compassionate, Celebrate, Aspire) and adheres to all procedures and policies; qualifications include a preferred high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in patient care and medical terminology.
