Job Summary
Assist the Licensed Independent Practitioner and RN by ensuring a safe environment for patients requiring direct or indirect observation. Contribute to the safe and efficient flow of patients through the department by performing various tasks and procedures as needed. Prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while utilizing strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Navigate electronic systems and maintain BLS certification for health care providers. This role supports acute care services at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland, focusing on trauma, heart care, and critical care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS for Health Care Provider from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Training or coursework in behavioral health field
- Two years' experience in a health care setting
- Acute care experience
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
