Job Summary
Patient Safety Attendant (Sitter) provides constant observation under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to ensure patient safety, offering an environment that prevents patient harm to self and others and manages flight risk. Flexibility in hours (days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends), on-the-job training, basic computer skills, and effective English communication are required. This is a part-time role across Mayo Clinic campuses (Mankato, MN; Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ; Jacksonville, FL; Rochester, MN) with focus on safety, observation, and supportive patient care responsibilities. BLS certification is required within 1 week of start date; prior patient care or healthcare-related experience is preferred but not mandatory. The position emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care. The role is nonexempt and part-time, with hourly compensation ranging from $20.00 to $21.63.
Required Qualifications
