Patient Representative/Medical Assistant

Job Summary
Greeting patients and checking them in/out with courteous customer service; following up with confirmation and no-show calls; scanning and uploading paperwork to the EHR; handling drug screening and maintaining tidy reception and patient areas. Supports chiropractors by preparing patients for exams, updating medical records, and facilitating communication and documentation workflows per Pennsylvania scope-of-practice guidelines. Coordinates administrative and non-clinical support for chiropractic providers, including patient intake, chart preparation, and follow-up documentation. Manages patient schedules, prior authorizations, and ensures chiropractors have complete documentation prior to treatment; acts as a liaison between chiropractic providers and patients for appointment coordination, documentation, and patient education under provider direction. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 6 months+ medical experience in an administrative physician office setting
- Basic computer skills (data entry, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to triage patients and take basic vitals (BP, pulse, respiration)
- Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, and coworkers
- Ability to manage schedules, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure complete documentation prior to treatment
- Experience with EHR/documentation workflows and patient coordination
