Job Summary
Greet and check in patients, verify demographics and insurance documents, and monitor the patient portal to update electronic records. Schedule follow-up appointments, including telehealth, and answer phones to direct calls and take messages for providers. Scan documents daily, sort and distribute mail, and confirm document accuracy before transmission. Manage multiple provider schedules, collect financial obligations, and explain insurance benefits within HIPAA parameters. Verify open tickets by pulling billing charges and provide backup support for insurance follow-ups and referrals. Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with Joint Certification standards and current infection prevention protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma Or G.E.D.
- 7 – 11 months in data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation
- Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment
- reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday
- valid driver's license
- compliance with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements
- undergo drug testing prior to employment
- subject to post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return to duty and follow up drug and alcohol testing
