Job Summary
Manages the Patient Relations Department at West Tennessee Healthcare, coordinating resolution of patient complaints and grievances, supervising the Patient Relations Representative and volunteers, and developing patient satisfaction programs. Leads initiatives to improve service delivery, ensures CMS and JCAHO guideline alignment, and collaborates with Compliance and Risk Management. Develops staff education on conflict management, the complaints/grievance process, advance directives, and patient experience issues; participates in committees; oversees department budgeting; and supports office management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in patient relations or a related field within a healthcare system is preferred
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience is required
- Background in patient experience and communications is preferred
