Job Summary
Audit payments from commercial and workers compensation carriers, conduct follow-up inquiries regarding missing insurance payments, and correct and resubmit denied claims. Process written appeals, track denial/payment trends, and communicate with staff and patients to resolve payment issues. Answer billing questions for patients, process credit card payments, and manage data entry while verifying personal and financial information. Maintain patient charts and electronic medical records, collect and deposit patient payments, and perform faxing and filing as assigned. Full-time Monday through Friday schedule with a 40-hour work week.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Excellent in-person and phone customer service
- Proficient in Word or Excel
- Close attention to detail
- Great time management and organizational skills
- Be available for a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 40 hour work week
- Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical/physical therapy billing role
