Job Summary
Greet patients, process registrations, and collect fees while verifying insurance and creating patient charts. Obtain accurate appointment and billing data, prepare claim forms, and distribute new medical charts. Answer incoming calls, schedule transportation, and assist walk-ins with urgent care appointments. Balance cash bags, prepare daily bank deposits, and maintain strict confidentiality following HIPAA rules. Keep the front office area clean and professional while adhering to all customer service expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) years' experience in healthcare
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- High attention to detail
- Propensity for completeness
- Experience with customer service
- Experience with scheduling appointments
- Experience with data entry
- Experience with medical insurance
- Skilled in use of computer/EMR systems
- Knowledge of Word processing software
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software
