Job Summary
The Patient Registration Specialist handles patient registration and insurance verification, manages scheduling resources for appointments, oversees pre-registration review for insurance verification, collects payments (co-pays/up-front), creates patient profiles in the EHR with accurate demographic data, maintains multiple worklists (e.g., New Patient Registration), schedules across departments (Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Optometry, Rehabilitation, Radiology, Laboratory, etc.), cross-trains for coverage, promotes MySEARHC portal enrollment, and upholds SEARHC’s Service Excellence standards while delivering high-quality customer service and compliance with competencies and organizational improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- 1 year of healthcare, behavioral health, dental, customer service, relevant administrative or office setting experience required
- Basic Life Support preferred
