Job Summary
The Specialist, Patient Registration facilitates the patient onboarding process for Option Care Health, coordinating with cross-functional teams (sales, pharmacy, nursing) to transition patients to home/AIS. Responsibilities include engaging with patients, referral sources, and internal teams to secure required documentation, assist with upfront payment and identify financial assistance options, support clean claims on hold and denial management, and perform special assignments for the Patient Registration Supervisor/Manager. Preferred qualifications include healthcare/medical billing experience. The role emphasizes multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, superior customer service, attention to detail, and collaboration across sales and operations to ensure smooth patient transitions and ongoing coordination of care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of two years of experience in related experience required
- Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time
- Ability to work in a fast past environment
- Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus
- High degree of customer service skills required
- Ability to trouble shoot, problem solves and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operation functions
