Job Summary
Full-time Patient Registration Specialist in Granby/Fraser, CO responsible for managing multiple phone lines, obtaining and confirming accurate patient demographic and referral information, verifying insurance coverage and explaining financial requirements, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA, and delivering superior customer service in a team-oriented environment while coordinating with medical facilities, vendors, insurance carriers, and patients. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to accuracy in insurance processing and demographic data, and the ability to adapt to the needs of a float position. Reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle and offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus plus a housing stipend for residents of specified counties.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Working knowledge of insurance processing, CPT, ICD-10, co-pay and coverage verification processes preferred
- Solid computer skills
- Strong verbal/written skills to communicate information clearly with patient, family member, and insurance companies
