Patient Registration I - Patient Access

Register patients while demonstrating strong guest relations and exceptional customer service. Review scheduled outpatient visits prior to service to ensure patients have been screened for discounts and discuss payer sources, payment arrangements, and options. Assist patients with completing Financial Assistance Forms, HCAP Applications, and Medicaid Applications. Review accounts for quality and confirmation, updating all aspects of a patient account as needed. Demonstrate knowledge of all compliance or legally required registration forms, consents, literature, and documents. This role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in computer and phone skills, and the ability to function in a high-paced, stressful environment while maintaining a respectful, caring, and professional manner. A high school diploma and one or more years of medical office or customer service experience are required, with previous registration or scheduling experience strongly preferred.
