Job Summary
Register patients, obtain demographics and insurance information, and complete necessary paperwork for clinic, hospital, and ED protocols. Collect and record patient payments, balance cash boxes accurately, and sort incoming mail. Answer basic scheduling and registration questions while complying with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and EMTALA. Utilize EHR systems for eligibility, scheduling, and documentation under the supervision of the PFS Manager. Requires two years of customer service and EMR experience. SoHum Health serves as a regional hub for emergency, acute, and skilled nursing services in an expansive rural area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of customer service.
- Two years general office experience.
- Two years of experience with EMR/EHR systems.
