Job Summary
Patient Registration Clerk responsible for registering patients in a hospital setting on a PRN/contingent basis. Role involves medical office and registration duties, administrative and clerical support, basic computer typing and word processing, knowledge of insurance providers, and delivering strong customer service. Position supports revenue cycle activities within a single-location hospital in Logan, OH, with flexible shifts and no sponsorship requirement. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or GED), prior medical office/registration experience, strong communication, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) strongly preferred
- One year previous medical office and patient registration experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
- Computer literacy, good typing skills is necessary
- Knowledge of insurance providers is a plus
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to function as a team player
