Job Summary
Patient Registrar - Admitting - Evening at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Register patients for procedures and appointments, obtain demographic and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. Record patient history and secure pre-certification/authorization. Serve as a calm, reassuring presence and deliver high-quality customer service to patients and families while supporting the administrative team. Requires clerical experience, familiarity with health insurance requirements, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time Evening position (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) with rotating weekends and holidays, on-site in Cortlandt Manor, NY, within the NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital system.
Required Qualifications
- Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements
- Qualified candidates have at least one year of clerical experience
- High school diploma or GED
