Job Summary
Enter patient demographic, insurance, and medical information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system with attention to detail. Receive and organize incoming faxes, digital files, and referral orders from referral sources, then collaborate with specialists to ensure appointments are made promptly. Assist the Intake/Admissions team with various clerical duties as requested. Maintain accurate typing skills of at least 45 wpm while navigating remote access tools like VPNs and Microsoft Office applications. Work Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Support the Intake/Admissions staff for both palliative and hospice services to help patients start care timely and accurately.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred
- Palliative or Hospice experience preferred
- Medical office experience preferred
- Accurate typing skills (min 45 wpm)
- Comfort navigating remote access tools like VPNs and Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel)
