Job Summary
Provide one-to-one observation with continuous visualization to ensure patient safety and prevent self-harm. Notify the nurse of physical or psychiatric condition changes and initiate patient activities consistent with the nursing plan. Maintain a clean environment, set limits, and monitor visitors under Registered Nurse direction. Collaborate on testing, teach coping skills, and complete documentation including observation forms and competency evaluations. Prioritize care assignments, manage crises, and comply with legal and psychiatric policies while maintaining patient dignity.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years prior experience preferred in Psychiatry and or related field preferred, working with specialized populations such as emotionally disturbed adults, adolescents and or children and families
- Proficient in English both verbally and written
- High School Diploma
