Job Summary
Manage inbound and outbound calls to verify insurance, schedule appointments, and collect patient information for new and returning patients. Coordinate with care teams to facilitate initial onboarding, run verification of benefits, and process insurance forms and referrals. Accurately record medical histories and high-risk screening data in electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Determine appropriate referrals for higher levels of care or emergency facilities based on pre-assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work preferred
- High school diploma
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service role
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to handle crisis situations with sensitivity
- Proficiency with computers
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Familiarity with call center software
- Complete TB Screening

- Complete Background check
