Job Summary
Provide constant patient observation under the direction of a registered nurse, ensuring all patients are clearly visible or conducting safety checks when assigned to the Behavioral Health unit. Upheld established customer service standards at all times while observing one or more patients. Requires current BLS certification and a high school diploma, ADN nursing student status with practicum completion, or EMT certification. Schedule includes all shifts in 8-hour blocks with bi-weekly hours. Salary ranges from $24.69 to $28.36 USD.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare
- ADN nursing student with successful completion of medical/surgical practicum
- EMT certification
- Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)
- Current BLS certification
- Volunteer or educational experience working with patients with mental illness
- Non-violent crisis prevention training
- Able to walk up to 90% of shift
- Must be able to lift or carry up to 10 lbs

- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Excellent verbal, interactive, and listening skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with other healthcare providers
