Job Summary
Maintain direct line of sight with patients at all times, including during toileting or hygiene activities, and accompany them during transportation, testing, and procedures. Establish a safe environment by applying fall prevention, infection control, and self-harm prevention protocols while preserving patient dignity and privacy. Immediately notify clinical staff of safety concerns, potential self-harm, falls, or device interference, and monitor verbalizations for threats to self or others. Document patient status and activity accurately, request assistance via call light, and float to different patient care units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Previous experience caring for patients in a similar setting
- BLS Certification

- Light Work - Exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Occasional crouching, typing/clerical/dexterity, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, reaching, repetitive motion, stooping, walking
- Frequent seeing/monitor/computer use, standing, talking
- Constant hearing, pushing, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), fit testing
- Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure, chemical, mechanical
- Occasional extreme temperatures, noise, fumes, mists, odors
- Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- High School or GED, preferred
- Previous experience caring for patients in a similar setting, preferred
- BLS Certification, preferred
