Job Summary
Connect patients to relevant community resources in collaboration with providers, staff, and family caregivers to enhance health, decrease readmissions, and increase satisfaction. Manage time effectively while prioritizing multi-tasking demands and maintaining strong working relationships with diverse personality types. Utilize strong verbal communication and active listening skills to establish and maintain connections with patients, clinic/hospital/specialty providers, and community resources. This part-time role supports the No Wait ER and trauma center services at OakBend Medical Center, an independent hospital providing compassionate care since 1950.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
- 3 years previous customer service experience
- Previous experience in a customer support role
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills
- Active listening
- Customer focus
- Adaptability to different personality types
- Ability to multi-task, priorities, and manage time effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with staff and management
- Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on detail
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
