Job Summary
Coordinate patient care from diagnosis to survivorship by attending tumor board meetings and independently performing telephone assessments using the nursing process. Provide continuous education to patients and families, act as a liaison between physicians and providers, and schedule procedures per radiologist requests. Document all calls according to protocol, ensure proper paperwork and lab values for procedures, and follow up on post-procedure care. Manage referrals to supportive services and anticipate schedule changes for office visits, test results, and discharge planning. Work with hospital departments including nursing, radiology, and oncology to deliver seamless cancer services.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or other accredited allied health program
