Job Summary
Acts as a Nurse Assistant with additional patient mobility training who provides safe patient transfer assistance using approved assistive devices and procedures in the acute hospital setting. Coaches nursing staff, physical therapists, and families on proper techniques for safe patient mobility and body mechanics, and assists with devices and transfer workflows. Demonstrates use of transfer equipment and mobility techniques; transfers patients between bed, chair, toilet/commode, and gurney; provides minor patient care tasks as time allows; participates in ongoing education and supports team needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two years' technical experience: Preferred
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
