Job Summary
Prepare pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, conduct compliance audits, and process financial transactions while providing customer service and maintaining pharmacy records. Review and verify prescription accuracy, record patient information per General Pharmaceutical Council guidelines, and oversee chemotherapy IV compounding and sterile IV preparation. Assist in educating new technicians and students, lead performance improvement activities, and instruct patients on correct medication administration. Adhere to infection-control protocols to protect employees and patients. Requires ExCPT or PTCB certification, one year of pharmacy experience, and a valid driver's license. Schedule includes 40 weekly hours in afternoons and evenings.
Required Qualifications
- ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy
- Valid state driver's license
- 1 year of experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion pharmacy
