Patient Medication Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate medication therapy access by troubleshooting medical and pharmacy benefits, assisting patients with grant and copay assistance applications, and supporting medication adherence. Serve as a resource and advocate to patients managing their healthcare while collaborating with medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff. Navigate electronic medical records and payer platforms to prioritize reports and data management in a fast-paced environment. Requires Missouri State Board of Pharmacy registration and Pharmacy Technician certification within 90 days. Schedule includes 40 weekly hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associate degree in a Related Field
- 2 years of healthcare experience (Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Assistance Coordinator, Pharmacy Tech or equivalent)
- Ability to navigate and properly utilize the electronic medical record
- Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel)

- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize reports and data management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact with providers, clinic staff, and team members in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to function independently with minimal oversight
- Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization within 6 months of hire
- Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire
- Must be team-oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
