Job Summary
Conduct initial admission screenings using standardized clinical criteria to determine patient eligibility and alignment with hospital policies. Perform detailed triage assessments to evaluate patient acuity and prioritize admissions based on urgency and available resources. Operate with high autonomy to make independent decisions in complex clinical scenarios, optimizing patient outcomes and resource utilization. Facilitate communication among referring facilities, physicians, nursing staff, and hospital departments to streamline patient transitions and maintain continuity of care. Monitor systemic barriers to patient throughput, analyze trends, and report findings to leadership to support strategic improvements in hospital operations. This rotating shift, part-time role is based in Tyler, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current Multi-State Licensure as an RN
- 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
- Must be proficient in EMTALA
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of clinical experience in ED or Critical Care
