Job Summary
Deliver medical equipment and supplies to patients, teaching them how to use and maintain devices while ensuring paperwork is collected and signed. Initiate insurance verification, discuss financial responsibility, and process payments using electronic tools. Fulfill orders by assuring equipment is clean, functional, and correctly ordered, then document delivery times and any issues. Conduct sales and service rounds to promote products, increase referral volume, and cross-sell services to healthcare professionals. Coordinate with departments to minimize delivery expenses and assist the sales team in conducting orientations for referral sources. Maintain knowledge of reimbursement guidelines, troubleshoot equipment, and adhere to infection control and HIPAA protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of work related to health care, administrative, insurance, customer services, or management regardless of industry
- The exact job experience considered must be DME, Diabetes, Incontinence Sales
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed
- Physical and mental ability to provide clinical assessments
- Ability to travel independently throughout the service area
- Excellent ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with customers with the ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy
- Mental alertness to perform the essential functions of the position

- Clinical roles require valid licensure/certification, where applicable
