The Patient Liaison greets patients and visitors in the Emergency Department waiting area and serves as a communication link between staff, patients, and families. Responsibilities include eliciting concerns, coordinating with care teams to meet patient needs, facilitating virtual visits when needed, directing patients to triage/registration/lab, maintaining a welcoming waiting-room environment, and arranging transportation or escort services for discharge.
