Job Summary
Accurately bill patient accounts and submit insurance claims to Commercial, Medicaid, and third-party payers while documenting billing activity in the facility's system. Pursue aged account resolution through written appeals and monitor claim rejections for trends to optimize the electronic submission process. Correct payer errors based on electronic reports and assist in resolving credit balances. Answer patient and third-party billing inquiries professionally and report compliance issues to departmental leaders. Maintain ethical conduct and confidentiality regarding personal and medical information.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly
- Ability to interact positively with patients, peers, and the public
- Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of customer service and/or business office experience
