Patient Financial Services Representative II

Job Summary
Responsible for complex revenue-cycle tasks within medical billing, including applying coding standards, denial management and appeals, processing insurance claims, posting payments and adjustments, auditing charges across departments, identifying and resolving denied or unpaid claims, and generating reports to support revenue-cycle management. Communicates with management about problem areas, ensures HIPAA compliance, works to optimize reimbursement, and supports efficient billing workflows. Must thrive under deadline pressure, be able to work extra hours including weekends, and collaborate with providers, care coordinators, and eligibility personnel to maximize accurate, compliant reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- medical billing training
- three to five years of experience in the medical billing field
- prefer CPC or CBC or other AAPC certifications
- knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, NDC, CDT
- proficiency with billing software
- strong attendance and time management
- analytical and critical thinking skills
- excellent customer service
