Patient Financial Services Counselor

Provide financial counseling to patients in-person and virtually for Essentia Health services, assisting with payment options, Medicaid eligibility, and financial assistance programs. Perform self-pay liability price estimates and conduct account analysis to develop action plans for guarantors, helping them resolve financial responsibilities. Support patient phone inquiries from the Patient Financial Services call center. Requires two years of experience in financial counseling, self-pay collections, billing, or healthcare, along with knowledge of registration, coding, and insurance billing. Schedule includes day rotations with no call obligation.
