Job Summary
Monitor and collect patient financial responsibilities by keeping insurance benefits current in OncoEMR and Centricity. Review patient services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness while performing daily Managed Care tasks. Calculate and collect patient responsibility, co-pays, and coinsurance using ICD-10 codes and managed care authorization processes. Requires high school diploma, healthcare field experience, and strong communication skills. Full-time role at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Sun City Center.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Managed care authorization process
- ICD10 codes
- Collection experience
- Ability to calculate and collect patients' responsibility and insurance co-pay/coinsurance
- Clear results of a thorough background screening
- Various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine
- Drug-free workplace compliance (drug/nicotine testing)
