Job Summary
Monitor and collect patient financial responsibilities while keeping insurance benefits current in OncoEMR and Centricity. Review patient services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness, and execute daily Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigator tasks. Calculate and collect patient responsibility, co-pay, and coinsurance using knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 codes, and the managed care authorization process. Requires high school diploma, healthcare experience, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Managed care authorization process
- ICD10 codes
- Collection experience
- Ability to calculate and collect patients' responsibility and insurance co-pay/coinsurance
- Clear results of a thorough background screening
- Various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine
- Drug-free workplace status (drug/nicotine testing)
