Job Summary
Conduct patient-centered financial navigation by helping individuals obtain healthcare coverage, determine eligibility for financial assistance, and understand their financial responsibilities. Administer the Sliding Fee Discount Program in compliance with HRSA requirements, assist with Medicaid and Marketplace enrollment, and provide financial counseling. Coordinate with patients, government agencies, and internal departments to facilitate access to care while supporting revenue cycle operations. Maintain supporting documentation, conduct periodic re-verification, and ensure compliance within federal and state standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Two years of related healthcare experience in social services, patient access, insurance, and/or financial counseling
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Community Health Center setting
- Knowledge of HRSA Sliding Fee Discount program
- Medicaid eligibility experience, including interpretation of federal poverty guidelines
- Insurance enrollment experience
- eClinicalWorks experience or other electronic health record proficiency
- Bilingual abilities
