Job Summary
Process and coordinate financial assistance by taking inbound and outbound calls, scheduling patient orders, and enrolling patients in pharmaceutical manufacturer and foundation assistance programs. Collaborate with patients, physicians, and payors to provide necessary information and supporting documents while acting as a liaison between billing and collection departments to resolve financial matters. Maintain focus during extended periods handling multiple tasks including calls, texts, and electronic queues in a fast-paced environment. Stay updated with Federal, State, and contractual regulations regarding copay assistance and manufacturer programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy or financial verification experience
- Ability to multi-task, including handling calls, texts, facsimiles, and electronic queues, while simultaneously taking notes and speaking to customers
- Proficient in maintaining focus during extended periods of sitting and handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, both with virtual and in-person interactions
- Attentive to details, critical thinker, and a problem-solver
- Demonstrates empathy and persistence to resolve caller issues completely
- Comfort and proficiency with digital tools and platforms to enhance productivity and minimize manual efforts
- Ability to work from the office as necessary
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza
