Job Summary
Screen patients on-site at hospitals (bedside or ER) for eligibility assistance programs, identify self-pay patients, initiate enrollment applications, and coordinate with external agencies. Role includes documenting results in on-site tools and hospital systems, conducting field work at nearby sites, and maintaining positive relationships with hospital staff while meeting referral goals. Requires strong communication, ability to screen both on-site and face-to-face, and reliable transportation for coverage; benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 – 3 years’ experience of medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government) or other pertinent medical experience is preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Must have basic computer skills
