Job Summary
Screen self-pay patients on-site at Las Vegas hospitals for eligibility assistance programs, either bedside or in the ER. Review the hospital census to identify candidates, initiate applications when possible, and assist with enrollment to State, County, and Federal programs. Document screening results in onsite tracking tools and hospital systems, then provide transition support to backend specialists. Conduct out-patient home visits as required to verify eligibility. Maintain accurate logs of referred accounts, report important occurrences to management, and uphold confidentiality while adhering to corporate compliance policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years' experience of medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government) or other pertinent medical experience
- Previous customer service experience
- Valid driver's license
