Job Summary
Meet with self-pay patients and families to discuss financial resources, assist with application completion, and educate them on insurance coverage and payment options. Coordinate financial support by reviewing responsibilities with physician offices, obtaining insurance pre-authorizations, and explaining estimated out-of-pocket costs before scheduled services. Collaborate across Admissions, Billing, and Providers to ensure seamless patient experiences while maintaining accurate documentation and communicating with insurance companies and community agencies. This role removes financial barriers to care for Bingham Healthcare patients through personalized guidance and compassionate service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Previous healthcare, insurance, patient access, customer service, financial services, or related experience
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Knowledge of insurance plans, financial assistance programs, and healthcare processes
- Strong organizational, computer, and mathematical skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients, families, providers, insurance companies, and community agencies
