Job Summary
As a Patient Financial Advocate, you will play a critical role in guiding patients through financial processes. Your responsibilities include conducting financial screenings, educating patients on insurance benefits, ensuring proper billing, and identifying payment sources and assistance programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in roles such as Patient Financial Advocate, Patient Registration, or Patient Accounting
- Strong customer service skills with experience in front-end patient financial interactions
- Advanced knowledge of insurance processes, including government assistance programs
- Experience using Epic
- Ability to communicate effectively with insurance carriers for service authorizations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure with tact and diplomacy
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Multilingual skills (Spanish or Hmong)
Additional Requirements
- Schedule: Saturday and Sunday Nights & 3 additional shifts Monday–Friday (may include evening starts); 40-hour guarantee; every weekend required.
